Stop Work Policy
We affirm that no task is so urgent or important that it cannot be performed safely. To uphold this principle, we have established a Stop Work Policy, which empowers every individual to intervene whenever unsafe conditions, acts, or behaviors are observed.
Key Provisions of the Stop Work Policy
Authority to Stop Work
All employees, contractors, and partners have the unconditional authority and responsibility to stop any work activity that poses a risk to health, safety, or the environment.
Verification Before Resumption
Work activities may only recommence once the unsafe condition has been rectified, verified, and formally approved by competent personnel.
Non-Retaliation Assurance
Exercising Stop Work authority in good faith will never result in disciplinary action, retaliation, or negative consequences. Safety concerns will be addressed constructively and respectfully.
Shared Accountability
This policy reinforces a culture of trust, empowerment, and accountability, ensuring that every member of the workforce plays an active role in safeguarding themselves, their colleagues, and the environment
Immediate Reporting and Action
Any unsafe act or condition must be reported immediately to supervisors or relevant authorities, enabling corrective measures to be implemented without delay.
By institutionalizing this policy, we strengthen our commitment to the Zero Harm Goal and reaffirm that safety is a shared responsibility that transcends roles, ranks, and responsibilities.
